I am Chas Nicholson. I live in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. I am a founder member of Honeysuckle Wholefood Co-operative in Oswestry, Shropshire where I worked for almost 30 years. Before that I worked for Real Foods in Edinburgh. In 2001 I started writing a food column for ‘The Chronicle, a monthly newspaper for the Cain, Tanat and Vyrnwy valleys in Powys, Wales. The newspaper comes out 10 times a year, every month except September and January. By July 2024 I had written 227 columns and am continuing to write them. The TV interviewer, Mavis Nicholson and her husband Geoffrey Nicholson (no relation) the sports journalist were both editors of The Chronicle.
