Pizza Rolls

First make some pizza dough using strong white flour. Then make some tomato sauce by chopping and frying an onion and some garlic in olive oil and adding a tin of chopped tomatoes and some tomato puree. When the tomato sauce has blended nicely, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle. Spread tomato sauce on the dough. Top this with grated cheese or pieces of torn mozzarella and some fresh basil leaves. You may also add chopped black olives and bits of anchovy or chorizo. Roll the ‘pizza’ up along the long side of the rectangle like a Swiss roll. Cut off sections of this with a sharp knife to make little rolls and bake in a medium to hot oven for about 20 minutes.
